From its office in Brussels, the AFG advocates European and international bodies on behalf of the industry:
- by influencing European and international decision-makers on regulatory issues as early as possible, including Members of the European Parliament, EU Commission, representatives of EU Member States and ESMA, as well as regulators of key markets in Europe and international organisations such as IOSCO;
- by establishing a constructive and long-lasting dialogue with the European leadership elected in 2019 and soon-to-be-elected in 2024, both with the European Parliament and with the European Commission at all decision-making levels;
- by consolidating our ever-closer contacts with AFG’s sister or partner associations in Europe and around the world, so as to strengthen our presence in forums that carry the voice of our industry or those who can provide support to our profession (EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association) and PensionsEurope in particular).
The AFG regularly responds to European and international consultations: on our website you will find the AFG’s responses to the consultations launched by the various international and European supervisory authorities.
