Purpose
The Accounting and Reporting Commission brings together representatives of management companies, fund administrators and statutory auditors who are members of the AFG.
The Commission is responsible for dealing with all accounting and reporting issues relating to UCIs and SGPs. Its field of competence also includes related subjects in line with accounting and financial reporting: valuation methodologies for portfolio assets, ESG information, legal information, ratios, reporting, etc.
The Commission’s objective is to ensure a common understanding of accounting rules, if necessary in liaison with the authorities, in order to resolve any practical difficulties or uncertainties of interpretation.
It also has a committee attached to it, the Reporting Committee, which is responsible for drawing up fact sheets on the reporting obligations of UCIs and SGPs.
Goals
- Inform members about changes in accounting regulations and financial reporting for UCIs and SGPs;
- To shed light on the operational consequences of these developments;
- Propose regulatory advances on topics covered by the Commission;
- Respond to consultations from French, European and international bodies on regulatory issues, in partnership with the other AFG Commissions and Committees concerned, who will contribute their business expertise;
- Answer members’ questions on all accounting-related matters;
- Participate iǹ market work, notably with other professional associations and public authorities ;
- Lead exchanges on common account with other professional associations and public authorities.
The charter must be formally validated by all Commission members. The validation of this charter will imply its adhesion.
