Purpose
The Quantitative Techniques Club mainly brings together representatives of SGP members of the AFG who are interested in subjects related to quantitative techniques and research in this field. Corresponding members or researchers may, however, join the committee if their contribution is deemed relevant to its work.
The number of participants is not limited.
The commission covers the core businesses of an asset management company, and is therefore involved in all matters that may have an impact on fund management processes, risk management and marketing.
Goals
The Club highlights advances in quantitative techniques by inviting internationally renowned researchers to exchange views with asset management professionals.
The richness of the exchanges comes from the encounter of research (external or internal) with discussants, enabling us to see the practical or operational side within a SGP. Often, a round-table discussion completes the event’s program, providing an opportunity to broaden points of view.
The Club will plan one to two sessions/events per year, which may be organized with external partners such as ILB (example: AFG’s Quantitative Techniques Club organized an event in October 2023 in partnership with Institut Louis Bachelier (ILB) on artificial intelligence for sustainable finance, between realities and challenges).
