Purpose
The Ethics and Compliance Commission supports AFG members by providing insights on related topics, particularly through the publication of practical guides.
Composed of RCCIs (Compliance and Internal Control Officers), the Ethics and Compliance Commission helps asset management companies to adapt effectively to new developments, and promotes the adoption of best practices.
The following working groups are attached to the Ethics and Compliance Commission:
- Anti-Money Laundering Working Group
- Cybersecurity and procedures Working group
- GDPR Working Group
- Market Abuse Working Group
- Working Group on the Update of the Code of Ethics
A Variable Compensation Committee is also attached to the Ethics and Compliance Committee.
Goals
- Discuss best practices in ethics and compliance, with particular reference to the procedures and reporting obligations of RCCIs (Compliance and Internal Control Officers).
- Respond to consultations and address inquiries on compliance issues, in collaboration with other AFG commissions and committees as needed.
- Propose regulatory advancements on topics addressed by the commission.
- Actively contribute to the development of ethics regulations and industry-wide initiatives, working in partnership with public authorities and other professional associations.
